Michel Gabriel Returns to MetaDesign as Unit Director

On 1 June 2003, Michel Gabriel (34) will return to MetaDesign's Berlin office as a unit director.
In this capacity he will direct one of the agency's three units and serve on the management board. In addition to employee management, Gabriel, who has a degree in business administration, will be in charge of strategic brand consulting and the development and management of marketing communication in client projects.

Between 1996 and 2000, Michel Gabriel served as a project director at MetaDesign, where he looked after such clients as Audi and VIAG Interkom. He later worked as a consultant for Wolff Olins, London, and Damm und Lindlar, Berlin. Before returning to MetaDesign, he ran the Berlin office of Wirz Identity as co-managing director.
"With Michel back on board, we've acquired an outstanding brand and marketing strategist with whom we have a great deal in common. With his eight years of experience in managerial positions and as the director of international projects for prestigious agencies, he has a broad knowledge of corporate identity and branding processes, from which our clients will once again profit in the future," says Stefan Kirschke, managing director of MetaDesign. Michel Gabriel's return to MetaDesign is the most recent step in a reorientation process that was launched and already bore fruit in 2002: MetaDesign was able to weather the economically difficult year with no significant drop in sales. On the contrary, it was even able to significantly expand its traditional corporate identity and design business compared to 2001.

MetaDesign has been the leading German company in the field of corporate identity/design (Horizont ranking) for seven years in a row. MetaDesign is active at a national and international level, providing successful support for brands such as Audi, BP, DKV, Roland Berger, RWE, Siemens, Sony, Volkswagen and others.
