Florian Dengler named executive creative director at MetaDesign
MetaDesign, Germany’s leading agency for corporate identity and branding, has appointed Florian Dengler as its executive creative director. This new position at the agency has been created to support founder Uli Mayer-Johanssen, managing director and chief design officer, and to lend weight to the agency’s international focus: MetaDesign has offices and clients in Europe, Asia and the USA.
Florian Dengler is currently a creative director and head of unit at MetaDesign. In addition to his present duties, he will be responsible for taking the agency’s design and creative products to the next levels of development. This will include expanding MetaDesign’s competencies, strengthening the design teams, tapping into development opportunities and fostering closer collaboration in creative work among the agency’s various sites.
Since joining MetaDesign in 2004, Florian Dengler has been responsible for the creative success of numerous clients and the overall expansion of the agency. Projects he has led for clients such as Triumph, the National Museums in Berlin, Continental and Siemens have won many international creative design awards for MetaDesign. “I am very much looking forward to working the all the designers and colleagues here in Berlin and at MetaDesign’s other sites to shape the future together. We have fantastic clients and top-notch creatives in all disciplines; this is an excellent environment for this new challenge. I consider this decision an important sign of MetaDesign’s power of innovation for the future,” said the renowned designer about his new role.
“Creating this new position – and appointing Florian Dengler to fill it – is another tremendous step forward for the agency, one that greatly enhances its position of long-term leadership in the creative field,” said Uli Mayer-Johanssen, MetaDesign’s founder.
