MetaDesign hosts Brand New Day 2009: Branding according to Darwin
MetaDesign, Germany's leading branding and corporate identity agency, invites its clients and other branding professionals to the MetaHaus for Brand New Day 2009 on 25 June 2009.
Under the motto "Branding according to Darwin", representatives from the fields of science, business and the media will discuss the relevance of Darwin's theories for brands and companies. The speakers include fashion designer and entrepreneur Wolfgang Joop, author and journalist Bastian Sick and photographer Oliviero Toscani. They will take a critical look at the questions: Can the principles of Darwin's theory of evolution be applied to economics? Does a natural selection of brands and companies take place during times of crisis? Will those who adapt survive in the market? Or is it necessary to change – as successful brands do – in order to remain true to one's self? Is it about "survival of the fittest", "…the fattest" or "the fastest"? Or, as the title of Joop's interview suggests, "…the hippest"?
