mare and MetaDesign awarded for work
“mare – the magazine of the seas” and MetaDesign are delighted to have received the red dot award 2008 in the category Editorial for their work together.
MetaDesign has supported mare since the first issue in 1997 with micro-typographic know-how and careful, competent image processing. Each mare article is laid out according to its own individual typographical concept which serves to highlight the photography and content. This loving attention to detail is an essential part of the high-quality appearance of the magazine, which is dedicated to culture and commentary.
The red dot award is one of the most notable design competitions. This year 5,885 entries from 39 countries entered the running for the coveted award. It is a seal of quality for excellent and innovative design.
