Marcus Oltmanns Is Named Unit Head at MetaDesign
Effective immediately, Marcus Oltmanns will direct one of the three units at MetaDesign, Germany’s leading corporate identity and branding agency. Oltmann’s, 34, previously served as head of business development and was responsible for new business opportunities. In his new capacity as unit head, he will oversee a team of around thirty staff members together with the creative directors Heike Albig and Florian Dengler. His unit is responsible for clients such as Siemens, Triumph und Conrad. Oltmanns, who will report directly to the executive board, succeeds Tobias Phleps, who has just been appointed MetaDesign’s fourth board member.
Oltmanns joined MetaDesign four years ago and helped forge ties with many of the agency’s clients. He has also managed corporate identity and branding projects for clients such as RWE, South Tyrol, Lower Austria and Pictet. After studying business administration, Oltmanns began his career ten years ago as a strategy consultant in the media and venture capital sector. In 2000, he founded an agency for license sales and online brand strategy. Before joining MetaDesign he served as business director of marketing and sales at a Bertelsmann subsidiary operating in the media and communications sector.
