MetaDesign Is Double Winner at the 2005 iF Communication Design Awards

MetaDesign was a double winner at the 2005 iF Communication Design Awards, which were presented in the Niedersächsische Staatsoper opera in Hanover on 2 September 2005. The brand strategy that the agency developed for the region of South Tyrol was honored in the Cross-Media category, and the new visual identity it created for Siemens mobile took one of the respected design awards in the Print Media discipline.

At this year’s awards ceremony, a total of 1,211 entries from thirty-one countries competed for the iF seal of quality marking outstanding design. The categories included Digital Media, Print Media, Architecture & Public Spaces, as well as Cross-Media. The “Too Good to Be True” category, open to previously unpublished work, was not part of the official competition. The jury selected a total of 323 winners in all the categories, and thirty appeared on stage at the Hanover opera house to receive the golden iF sculpture - a special award to honor their special design achievement.

iF provides a broad range of design-related services. It has made an international name for itself with the iF design awards, established in 1954. Today, this design competition is regarded as one of the most important worldwide, annually attracting over 1,800 entries from 30 different countries. Not only do the top international designers on the jury select the prize winners, but their reputations attest to the unique status of iF and its label, which is recognized the world over as a seal of quality.
