MetaDesign among the 50 Best Employers in Germany
The competition “Germany’s Best Employers” has named MetaDesign AG one of the 50 best German employers. The results have just been published by the business magazine Capital.
Ranked 12th in the category “100 to 500 Employees” and 32th in the overall evaluation, the Berlin corporate identity agency has earned itself a place among 50 leading German companies. The competition is based on a study conducted by Capital and the Cologne research institute psychonomics AG on behalf of the European Commission. The 50 winning German companies automatically qualify for the follow-up EU competition, which will name the 100 best employers in Europe.
Stefan Kirschke, managing director of MetaDesign AG, accepted the award in Berlin on 1 February 2005. He comments: “Our business, in particular, is dependent on motivated and enthusiastic employees, so we’re very proud that they think so highly of our corporate culture. We took part in the study to get an idea of the current mood among staff. We’re delighted that we were short-listed at the first go.”
The quality and attractiveness of the participating companies were determined in a written employee survey and a so-called culture audit that focused on five issues: the first three, “credibility,” “respect” and “fairness,” measured the trust between employees and management. The “pride” category reflected the employees’ identification with their jobs, working teams, and companies as a whole. “Team orientation” dealt with relations among employees. Ninety-four percent of MetaDesign employees concluded: “All things considered, I can say that this is a very good place to work.”
