MetaDesign wins two red dot awards

MetaDesign was awarded two of the coveted awards from the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen at this year's 'red dot awards: communication design 2004'. The new look of Siemens mobile was awarded the red dot in the Corporate Identity and Corporate Design category while the online appearance of the building engineer specialists Merten won a red dot award in the Web Site category.

MetaDesign now ranks among the best international communication designs in this leading worldwide competition. Around 3000 works from 27 countries were entered with 229 receiving a prize.


The new corporate design of Siemens mobile has the brand motto 'Designed for life'. The 'Iconic Design' developed by MetaDesign always shifts the focus on the products. The unique combination of design and technology featured in each cell phone from Siemens mobile is reflected visually. MetaDesign features the many uses in the new 'Iconic Design' ensuring that the Siemens mobile brand can be experienced in all media.

The strengths of the switch producers and building engineer specialists Merten are accentuated in the positioning of the brand. To invigorate the customer bond, MetaDesign developed a web site concept that provides the user with target-oriented access to the extensive range of Merten products and services.

The 'red dot award: communication design' is the best known German prize for communication design and ranks among the ten most important international design competitions. All winners are presented in the bilingual International Communication Design yearbook and in the red dot online exhibition at www.red-dot.de. The prizes are awarded on 3 December at the Philharmonie in Essen.
